Terms and Conditions of lightsmart.co.uk / West Midlands Lighting (Solihull)

Products

All products conform to British and EN standards.

All products manufactured by vetted sources in accordance with current legislation at time of purchase.

Dimensions and wattages are given as a guide only to assist the consumer and therefore do not constitute a legally binding contract.

N.B. Height measurements are provided excluding chain and ceiling fixture where applicable as there is a variable involved.
Lamps are included with all products.

Shipping

Goods will be sent using a 48hour service from completion of order.

Goods are usually available for despatch within 7 working days of receipt of order.

Goods that are out of stock may take up to 14 working days of receipt of order.

In the unlikely event of goods taking longer than the 14 working day period you will be contacted by a customer services representative who will give the option for the order to be cancelled if the lead time is unsuitable without penalty to the consumer.

The cost of shipping of goods to a location outside of U.K. mainland will not be met by lightsmart.co.uk. A customer services representative will contact you with a shipping quotation. At that time a decision by the consumer may be made to cancel the order without penalty.

Refunds

All products carry a 7 working day no quibble money back guarantee.

The fixture cannot have been installed or modified in any way and must be returned in its original packaging complete with lamps and any other parts supplied. (See returns policy).

We have the right to refuse refunds for failure to meet the above criteria.

Warranty

All products with the exception of lamps (light bulbs) carry a 1 year return to base warranty. (See returns policy) In the event of a fault occurring the product will be repaired or replaced according to the nature of the fault.
The warranty applies to electrical components only and is void if deemed that the fitting has been incorrectly fitted or suffered abuse in a manner not intended for the purpose supplied.

Damages, shortages or faults with orders

Any damages, shortages or general faults with orders received must be notified within seven working days of receipt. (See returns policy). Lightsmart.co.uk can not accept responsibility after this period.

Faulty or damaged goods will be replaced or refunded in full in accordance with the consumer's requirements.

Lightsmart.co.uk will in no way be liable for any costs incurred due to faulty goods or shortages such as electricians fees, time taken from place of employment etc.

Returns Policy

To return goods for any reason please call or e-mail customer services department who will give you a returns authorisation number relating to the purpose of the return to be displayed on the parcel.

Goods without returns authorisation number will not be accepted.

Goods returned must be in their original condition and packaging.

In accordance with distance selling regulations, customers who wish to cancel their order and return items under our 7 working day no quibble guarantee must do so at their own expense and are advised to use a method providing proof of delivery.

Goods returned for reasons relating to a fault will be returned to the consumer at the cost of lightsmart.co.uk. as long as they conform to the relevant criteria. (see warranty)

Installation

A qualified electrician must install all products supplied.

All products must be earthed where necessary.

The mains supply must always be isolated prior to installation.

N.B. Incorrect installation can deem warranty void. (see warranty)

Installation accessories such as screws and raw plugs etc are not supplied.

Liability will not be accepted for any personal damages such as electrocution due to improper installation.

Your statutory rights are not affected.
